The top list of worst foods!

Is there a specific type of food which can make you put on a lot of weight? Or do you feel tempted to eat more and more when you see a particular type of food? There are several types of popular food items which we know we should not eat but still do! Simply because they taste so good! But eating these types of food can raise your blood cholesterol levels, your blood pressure and your waistline while simply draining your health and your wallet.

So without any further ado, here is the listing of worst foods you should totally avoid when you are on a diet!

1. Chips and dips- Lets be frank. When we eat chips we want the dip. And most dips are havens of high-calorie creams, oils, salt and butter just designed to make you lick your fingers with glee. But unfortunately, the calorie count is just about enough to clog your arteries permanently unless you are really careful. If you are on a diet, then chips and dips are out of your menu!

2. Surprise foods- There are several types of foods which are ideal to fill you up while still not doing anything to raise your calorie intake. But unfortunately, the food combinations or preparation method can hide hidden calories which will totally destroy your calorie count for the day. For example, soups are great for you, unless they are prepared with a cream-case and have added butter which is not at all good. Oatmeal is great provided you make it with skimmed milk, sugar substitute and no added butter. Rice crispies are fine if you do not add additional amounts of peanut butter and butter to it. Popcorn is fine but don’t add toppings or flavorings. Just find out exactly what you are eating and you should avoid any hidden calorie surprises!

3. FAST food- Yes, yes I know, FAST food is just so tasty that it becomes an addiction but it’s bad, bad, bad for you! Fast food chains have now awoken to the horrible effects that fast food can do to your body and several chains are hawking low-fat and low-calorie versions of the same food. But does that really work? Not really! There are a lot of people who just don’t have the time and energy to cook and for themselves, and popping into a fast food joint at the end of the day makes great sense. You can have a steak, or a burger or a pancake or maybe Kentucky Fried Chickens meal box in a few minutes without the headache of food preparation and cleaning; but that’s the point isn’t it? You’re already over your calorie count for the entire week! Let’s not forget the high salt content and deep fried effects of fast food on our health. It’s a wonder that people are still alive in America. I would have though that almost everyone was dead or the walking dead with those calorie rich foods being eaten everyday!

But sarcasm aside, it’s not going to be easy to stick to any diet. Dieting is difficult and very tough to follow and all of us want to be thin. But unless you skip out everything like this which can cause you to crash and burn: you aren’t going to lose any weight: at least not anytime soon.
