Learning about tiling courses!

Are you a trained tiler with several years of tiling experience under your belt? There are several senior workers in the tiling industry that leaned the tricks of the trade while working on the job. But with increasing age, it’s difficult to keep up with the demands of working as a full time tiler. The job requires a lot of skills and hard work. You have to stay away from your family for long periods of time depending on the projects you take up. You have to work in wet conditions and dusty conditions attaching tiles to the walls and floors: and that takes it tolls on a person’s health and body.

But if you still want to stay in close touch with your profession then being a trainer and teaching tiling courses is the best for you. You can transfer your knowledge and your technical skills to novices in the trade with professional tiling courses. The tiling courses keep you touch with your profession while still protecting you from the hard toil required in project work.
A few more skills required to teach tiling courses are-
 Tiling courses will require you to be a professional who has atleast three years technical project experience. It is very necessary that you have practical training on the job as you have to teach students how to handle the adhesive and the tiles. Tiling courses do have tiling studios attached to the course classes where you will have to take practical tiling courses.
 Having finished professional tiling courses is extremely essential. Even if you have more than 4 years experience, having a diploma in tiling courses is much better as its add credibility to your resume.
 Teaching tiling courses sets you an established time period where you have to attend tiling courses for teaching classes. You don’t have to worry about overtime and the deadlines which are associated with project work.
 You should have got the National Vocational Qualifications in 1, 2, and 3. This enables you to teach students how to prepare for the NVQs which are assessed in a practical setting on-the-job.
 You should be able to prepare and guide students in the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) of the tiling courses. This course teaches workers how to follow safety standards on the project. Once students are taught this module they are awarded the CSCS card after a practical NVQ assessment and a health and safety module.
 You are provided with a lot of perks like insurance, medical coverage, a set salary per month, pensions etc which you don’t get when you are freelancing or working in a tiling firm.
 Even if you have not done any tiling courses and cannot apply for an NVQ assessment, there is no need to worry. You can apply and sit for On-Site Assessment and Training (OSAT) practical and/ or the Experienced Worker Practical Assessment (EWPA) practical. In these assessments, the courses just judge your knowledge and if you pass you get the NVQ certification to enable you to apply for a tiling instructor for tiling courses.

If you meet these basic requirements, then almost all tiling courses present in the country will require your talents to teach their tiling courses.
